All Compact Handy Hooks, Don/Doff Handy Hooks, Backplates, and C-Locks fall under our 10 Year Guarantee. No need to register your products; Handy Hooks are automatically registered for you!

Handy Hooks are designed for long-term reliability.

Handy Hook guarantees that all Products are free from manufacturing defects and will function as intended for the life of the product. If your Handy Hook is not functioning properly, we’ll do everything possible to make it right. Our 10 Year Guarantee will include a replacement product in the event of loss or failure of Don/Doff or Compact Handy Hook. Guarantee also covers failure or loss of C-Locks and Backplates.


Please note that if your product is eligible for a replacement, then your replacement will be the same version of Handy Hook as your purchased product.



Original Mounting Plates:

We do offer a free replacement of the original mounting plates to our new Dog Ear Stainless Steel Backplates. These new Backplates are proven to be more effective in mounting. If you still have the original plates, send an email or fill out the form below.



Handy Hook Versions: 

The Don/Doff Firefighter and the Farmer Handy Hook are one and the same! Similarly, the Compact Firefighter and the Firefighter Handy Hook are the same. We decided to rename the Farmer Handy Hook to the Don/Doff Firefighter, and the Firefighter Handy Hook to the Compact Firefighter, to make the value and differences more clear.


No design changes have been made to the Handy Hook design so the newly named products are the same version as the originally named products, and do not need upgraded.

We reserve the right to deny any claims as we see fit. This may happen if we believe the claim to be fraudulent, if the claim does not meet Guarantee conditions, or if the Handy Hook was purchased from an unauthorized seller such as, but not limited to, Facebook Marketplace and eBay.

The Don/Doff Handy Hook was renamed from the Farmer Handy Hook. This Hook allows you to put on and take off your gloves one-handed.

 

10 Year Guarantee FAQ's

  • Lost: Due to previous faulty backplate design.


  • Failure: If any of the plastic parts of Handy Hook fail/break from regular use or during fireground operations.
  • Stolen. 
  • Cosmetic damages (dents, scrapes, scratches, chips, etc.) that do not affect the product functionality.
  • Unauthorized modifications.
  • Repairs.
  • Abuse or neglect of products.
  • Disposed of products.
  • New Dog Ear Backplates will need to be tightened or checked after general use, failure to check tension as a result of lost Handy Hooks are subject to refusal of replacement.
If you have the latest "Dog Ear Backplates", make sure you check the tension of the plates after regular use. They will tend to loosen as they mold to the shape of your bunker gear. A couple simple turns of the Phillps Head screwdriver will fix it. It's like checking the torque on your wheels!

Be sure to include any alternate names or emails, whether your Hook was a gift, and information on why you need a replacement product.
No need! Each Handy Hook is registered on purchase.
No. The Guarantee will expire 10 years after the original Handy Hook purchase date or once the Hook is replaced, whichever comes first. Any replacement Hooks do not come with another 10 Year Guarantee.
The 10 Year Guarantee is still eligible!


If your Hook was a gift or purchased through a valid third-party seller like the American Fire Brigade, photo proof will be required to authenticate the product. Also, give the name of the seller in the “Where did you buy your Handy Hook?”.


If your Hook was a gift, give the name of the person who gifted it to you in the “Other Details” Section.
Your claim will be approved or denied within 5-10 business days. Seasonal changes can affect this time. This timeframe can also be affected if we need more information to process the claim.


Shipping will take 5-10 business days. You will be notified by email when your claim is either denied or approved/when your replacement product ships.
